National Weather Service officials issued and canceled a tornado warning for central Wayne County on Tuesday June 9. "The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado. Therefore, the warning has been canceled," the NWS said.
A dangerous severe weather episode is unfolding across the Central Plains tonight, Tuesday June 9, 2026, with the Storm Prediction Center holding an Enhanced Risk (Level 3/5) for central Nebraska and a Tornado Watch active for much of the state through midnight CDT.

MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - The multiple tornado warnings that were issued across Mid Michigan have all expired. The first tornado warning was issued for southern Saginaw County and northern Shiawassee County just before noon. Four tornado warnings were issued, including three in Saginaw County, two touching Shiawassee County and one in Genesee County.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis issued the warning around 9:29–9:41 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, with the alert in effect until 10:00 p.m.
