Incident Update – November 5th At approximately 7:30 PM, Pipe Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an individual burning leaves when an explosion was heard. Upon arrival, crews found flames about 20 yards from the highway coming from a damaged pipe. Firefighters quickly contained the grass fire associated with the call and then worked alongside NIPSCO to safely stop the source and secure the area until repairs could be completed.
